About Us

Mr. Tan founded TGCC M3 Momentum Fund in December 2006 and is the portfolio manager of the Fund. He oversees all mission-critical strategy and risk management of the Fund. Prior to founding the Fund, Mr.Tan was the Senior Vice President of Malaysia’s sovereign wealth fund, Khazanah Nasional Berhad, where he was responsible for asset allocation, asset-liability management, and portfolio analytics of the fund’s RM150 billion portfolio.

Before joining Khazanah, Mr.Tan was also an Acting Head in the quantitative strategy unit in CIMB-Principal, mainly responsible for performance analytics, risk management, and quantitative research.

Mr. Tan is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charterholder and a Financial Risk Manager (FRM). He also obtains a Bachelor of Science Degree with First Class Honours in Economics & Management from University of London.

Mr. Chua co-founded TGCC M3 Momentum Fund in 2006 and is the portfolio manager of the Fund. He is intimately involved in the daily operations and strategy execution of the Fund. Mr. Chua, an experienced trader of commodity futures instruments, has been self-employed as a licensed future broker and he managed an investment portfolio using a combination of quantitative and systematic trading strategies.

Prior to that, Mr. Chua began his career with the restructuring team in RHB Investment Bank where he provided bespoke restructuring solutions for the bank’s non-performing loans and defaulted investments, before joining the corporate finance team in BinaFikir Sdn. Bhd (acquired by Maybank Berhad in 2008). He was also a part time lecturer conducting preparatory courses for CFA, CIMA and CFP.

Mr. Chua is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charterholder. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree (BSc) in Banking and Finance from the University of London.
